U-16 Girls team leaves for Cuttack

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: Arunachal Pradesh U-16 Girls Football team left here today for Cuttack (Odisha) to participate in the National U-16 National Girls Football Tournament being organized by All India Football Association (AIFA), informed Arunachal Pradesh Women Football Association.

Kipa Bharat, Tako Baby and Taba Picha are the coach, manager and assistant manager respectively of the team.

TDFC, CCSC share 1 point each after a dull draw

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: Todo United Football Club (TDFC) and Capital Complex Sporting Club (CCSC) played out a dull goalless draw to share one point each in Arunachal Football League at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Naharlagun today.

Todo United are now equal points  with Bamang Taji FC (7) at the top of the table followed by Capital Complex SC with five points.

Todo United FC will meet Tugung Neri SC tomorrow.

 

Governor greets people on Guru Nanak Jayanti

Fire breaks out at Koloriang

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: A massive fire broke out at SSB Colony Koloriang this morning. According to preliminary report properties worth lakhs of rupees has been burnt to ashes in the mishap.

While informing this Koloriang Citizens Right and Mascot Network Society have appealed to the district administration to provide immediate relieaf and compensation to the fire victims for their quick rehabilitation.  

The fire was brought under control after hours of joint efforts by the jawans of ITBP, CRPF, APP and local youths.  Meanwhile, both the organizations urged the local MLA and authorities concerned to do the needful for providing fire brigade at Koloriang as soon as possible.

Kena attends inter-village Sports Meet at Likabali

ESDFU opposes demand

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: The East Siang District Farmer’s Union in a press statement has strongly opposed the demand placed by All Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture and Horticulture Dealership Registered Tribal Contractor Association for centralization of schemes from the current financial year.

Substantiating their opposition of the demand by the said association, ESDFU has said that, the need base of every farmers differs from district to district depending upon topographic atmosphere. Hence, decentralization of the government schemes would serve the farming community of the state in the meaningful way, added the ESDFU.

 

AKKDSU objects to earth cutting in school premises

ITANAGAR, Nov 16:   All Kurung Kumey District Students’ Union (AKKDSU) has objected to the earth cutting allegedly by Christian Missionary for establishment of infrastructure in the premises of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Koloriang,

“We respect their religious works and are ready to cooperate with them in their missionary activities in the district. But, we oppose establishment of infrastructure in the school premises, AKKDSU in a release said. While terming the act inappropriate, the union urged the district administration and local MLA to intervene the matter and stop the earth cutting.

It further requested them to shift the proposed site for missionary activities to an appropriate site.

 

Exposure visit and training for rural youth

ITANAGAR, Nov16: Krishi Vigyan Kendra KVK), East Siang, organized an exposure tour cum training for rural youth of Simen Chapori village.

The trainees were exposed to different activities carried out by Krishi Vigyan Kendra and College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat at their Instructional Farm.

The youths were exposed to integrated framing system model, crop cafeteria, herbal garden, oil palm plantation, drip irrigation system and floriculture unit.

KVK Programme coordinator Dr. Mahesh Pathak briefed the trainees about the different activities carried out by KVK and College for the benefits of the farming communities of Arunachal Pradesh.

SM Hussain, SMS (Fisheries) guided the trainees to different experimental and demonstration blocks.

All together 53 trainees participated in the programme.

Workshop on vector borne diseases held

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: District Vector Borne Disease Control Society (DVBDCS), Papum Pare organized two days refresher training for block level multipurpose workers at Yupia at Conference Hall IDSP Yupia on November 15-16.

Inaugurating the programme, Papum Pare District Medical Officer Dr S Ronya asked the participants to discharge duties sincerely for controlling the vector borne diseases in the district.

District Vector Borne Disease Control Programme Officer Tatung Tayang briefed the participants about malaria and dengue diseases and also highlighted vector borne disease and epidemiological scenarios of Papum Pare district. He asked the participants to organize IEC/BCC activities and also suggested them to submit monthly report on time.

Dr Kipa Tuglik, DRCHO explained about signs and symptoms of malaria and dengue diseases.

DVBD consultant TP Tara and malaria staff Tilok Saikia conducted practical demonstration on thick and thin smear and indoor residual spray (IRS).

 

Allegation baseless: 21-KPF

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: 21-Kolorianf People Forum (21-KPF) has rejected the 21-Koloriang Assembly Constituency Native People Forum (KACNPF)’s recent press statement wherein it was alleged that hundreds of Chakma-Hajong and non-APST electors had been included in the electoral rolls.

Describing the allegation as false, fabricated and baseless, 21-KPF, in a release claimed that those non-APSTs businessmen and labourers, who have been residing in the area for many years, have the rights to apply for inclusion of their names in the electoral rolls.  The Forum urged the State Chief Election Commission (SCEC) to not believe the allegations.

 

Progressive farmers’ group leaves for exposure tour

CHANGLANG, Nov 16: A group of 20 progressive farmers of Khimiyang block proceeded on a study tour to Sikkim to gain first hand experience of growing various vegetables, cash crops, especially Large Cardamom.

Flagging off the tour, ADC Isha Khosla urged the farmers and escorts to learn as much as possible from the tour and share the knowledge to their fellow farmers on their return.

The team is being escorted by T Thungkang, HDO and KP Singh, HFA and jointly organized by K Lona DHO Changlang and B Tarang BDO Khimiyang.

The tour is an initiative of Changlang Deputy Commissioner Chanchal Yadav to promote and boost the cultivation of large cardamom in the district. DIPRO

ITANAGAR, Nov 16:   Two houses were reduced to ashes in a devastating fire at Koloriang today while another five houses were dismantled to stop the fire from further spreading.

The fire was brought under control after hours of joint efforts by fire brigade and public. However there was no reports of any loss of life. DIPRO

UPA Govt committed to develop Arunachal: Moily

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister M Verappa Moily today said the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre is committed to develop Arunachal Pradesh at par with other states of the country.

"Arunachal is the crown of India and a source of national spirit and energy for the country," Moily said while attending the 'Vikas Rally' at the Indira Gandhi Park here organised on the occasion of completion of two years of the Nabam Tuki government, reports PTI.

Admitting that the state has great potential for development, he said, "When Arunachal smiles the entire nation smiles and when it prospers, the entire country prospers."

Lauding the people for their patriotic nature in zealously guarding the country's frontier, Moily said, the Centre is with the state government in its development endeavour.

"Though Arunachal is geographically far from New Delhi, it is near to our heart. The commitment of the UPA government for the state's development has been proved beyond doubt and the Rs 37000 crore Prime Minister's mega development project for the state is a glaring example to name a few," he said.

"UPA's commitment for development of Arunachal is not a promise, but a determination on the part of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and youth leader Rahul Gandhi," he said and assured all help to transform the state in to Switzerland of the country.

The Union minister also laid the foundation stones of a Nursing College here and a gas-based power plant at Changlang district.

"The Nursing College will be sponsored by ONGC, Oil India Limited and Bharat Petroleum, while the Rs 78 crore Gumcha gas power plant will be a joint venture of the Oil India Limited and the state government," he said, while assuring of ambulances to the state through various petroleum companies.

"My ministry is planning to invest Rs 400 crore in Arunachal's oil sector," he said.

Appreciating Chief Minister Nabam Tuki for his development initiative in the state, Moily said he (Tuki) wants to see smile in all strata of the society and his motto was to transform the youth of the state to enlightened citizens of the country.

"Youths of the state have leadership qualities and the UPA is committed to develop them into world class leaders," he added.

The union minister also distributed laptops and cash awards to 105 meritorious students under the Chief Minister's Talent Search Award and distributed tools and equipments to progressive farmers.

He and Tuki flagged-off 16 tourist cabs provided to unemployed youth for tourism promotion the under Chief Minister's Paryatan Vikash Yojna.

 

Faster, sustainable development objective of 12th plan, says Tuki

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki today said that the objective of his government in the 12th Plan period was faster, inclusive and sustainable development of the state.

"Our impetus is on people centric programmes and policies at all level. We have identified many priority areas and tried to create and strengthen the instutional mechanism to deliver on our agenda," he said.

He said the priority areas of the government was youth development, social security, gender balance and empowerment of women besides agriculture and allied sectors, tourism, infrastructure development, health, education and border area development.

"We have taken initiatives to build strong foundations to strengthen the delivery system related to these thrust areas along with a suitable evaluation and monitoring mechanism," the chief minister said.

He said, various flagship schemes of the Centre over the last ten years ensured that benefits went to the people directly in accordance with the principles of equitable development for growth across all sectors.

"The planning perspectives under the UPA regime have seen the introduction of landmark initiatives to empower the common man encompassing different areas of development.

The introduction of PM’s package in the state has broadened the scope of growth by ushering in major infrastructure development activities for all-round development of the state," he said.

Outlining the development activities of his government, Tuki said that the target of providing employment to 5000 unemployed youths would be fulfilled before the deadline while the ambitious railway project would be operational in the state from January.  Referring to the internal security scenario, he said that the Home department has recruited 1526 police constables in a transparent manner during 2012 from Changlang, Tirap and Longding districts who have completed basic training and were now deployed.

Recruitment for the 4th and 5th IRBn have been completed and about 1760 personnel were under training.

The union Home ministry recently approved one CRPF battalion of about 1000 personnel for the state capital. Their deployment would strenghten policing, he added. PTI

 

 

Sona dedicates tourist lodge to people

LIKABALI, Nov 16: In a major boost to the Likabali-Basar-Aalo-Mechuka tourism circuit, Tourism Parliamentary Secretary Passang Dorjee Sona inaugurated a tourist lodge here today in the presence of Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Jomde Kena, a host of public leaders, government officers and others.

The 16-room lodge, christened ‘Vantage Point’ and leased to young entrepreneur Takam Tatung under PPP mode, is expected to cater to the growing number of tourists flocking Malinithan, Akashi Ganga and Rukmini temple that attract hundreds of people towards Likabali.

Sona dedicated the lodge to the people of the area, terming it “a milestone for the tourist circuit of West Siang, especially in spiritual tourism. “The people of Likabali will get double benefit as tourists will stay at this transit accommodation for to-and-fro trips while travelling to end-destinations such as Mechuka,” he said.    

Sona urged the people to be well behaved with tourists, stressing on hospitality as the key to growth of tourism. He also cautioned them against negative publicity that is often passed on through word of mouth, saying grapevine is often more effective than the electronic and print media put together.

“Ill-treated tourists are terrible news for business and will halt the growth of tourism,” he said.

He urged the proprietor to take good care of the lodge premises and advised him to register information about the lodge on the tourism department’s website for wider publicity.

Kena informed that around 100 domestic tourists visit Likabali to pay obeisance at Malinithan, Akashi Ganga and Rukmini — sacred Hindu sites — on a daily basis, and expressed hope that the opening of the lodge would augment tourism growth. He urged Sona to support the young entrepreneur in further developing the venture, and to set up a perennial water supply source for the lodge.

Likabali ZPM Mito Taipodia and Galo Students’ Union advisor Pakmik Taipodia also expressed their happiness over the new asset in their area and offered their support to the venture.

The proprietor of Vantage Point on his part promised to leave no stone unturned to deliver the best possible service “so that the tourism potential of the area is properly harnessed, more and more tourists visit the spiritual sites here, and the state as a whole is recognized worldwide.”

 

 

DoNER sanctions projects worth Rs 2116 cr for Arunachal:Ghatowar

Itanagar, Nov 16: Union DoNER Minister Pawan Singh Ghatowar today said that his ministry has sanctioned 183 projects worth Rs 2,116 crore for Arunachal Pradesh over the past few years.

“Projects worth Rs 540 crore under North East Council (NEC) have also been sanctioned for the frontier state during the same period,” Ghatowar said while addressing the Vikas Rally organized by the state government at Indira Gandhi Park here today.

The rally was organized to highlight the achievement of the Nabam Tuki-led Congress government in the state. It also marks the completion of two years of the present government under Tuki who had assumed office on November 1, 2011.

The minister while highlighting various packages allocated by the Centre for the state, informed that during the Eleventh Five year plan, Arunachal Pradesh received an amount of Rs 7900 crore which was a hike of 190 per cent from the allocation during the tenth plan period.

“In the Twelfth Plan period, the Centre had allocated an amount of Rs 11,175 crore for Arunachal with substantial hike of 41 per cent from the eleventh plan period,” the minister said and added that the Centre was alive to the problems of the land-locked state and was initiating several development measures. Blowing the poll bugle for the 2014 Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state, Ghatowar called upon the people to vote for the Congress saying that the state would prosper only if Congress returns to power at the Centre.

Referring to the achievement of the state government in the past two years, the minister termed Arunachal as the ‘best ruled’ state in the country.

Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Ranee Narah said that the vision of the UPA-II government at the Centre was to develop the entire North East states and said that Tuki had forged ahead to fulfil the vision with dedication.

Narah, who represent Assam’s North Lakhimpur constituency also advocated hammering out an amicable solution to the decades-old boundary problem between Arunachal and Assam through negotiation for overall development of the neighbouring states. PTI

Author of ‘Memoir of a Boy’ Banta Natung felicitated

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: Along with the rest of the country, the media fraternity in Arunachal Pradesh today observed the National Press Day with a day-long programme.

While reiterating his commitment for welfare of the small, but vibrant and growing media fraternity of the state, Chief Minister Nabam Tuki exhorted them to dedicate the day to analyse the role of media in a democracy by serving as an agency for the people to access information and help strengthening and supporting the democratic process.

He urged them to ensure that universal principles of verification and right to fair opportunity to all were not lost sight of.

"I reiterate my request that media be the eyes and ears of the government and mirror the grievances of the people without any fear and favour.

"I appeal to my friends in the media to adhere to the fundamental objectives of journalism and to eschew publication of inaccurate, baseless, graceless, misleading or distorted material, avoid conjecture, speculation or comment as a statement of fact to prevent avoidable misgivings in the minds of the people," the chief minister said.

"I look forward to your constructive criticisms, suggestions and solutions so that my commitment to deliver a common man's government is fulfilled," he told reporters here.

The scribes, under the aegis of Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalist (APUWJ), submitted a memorandum to Tuki demanding allocation of land in the state capital for construction of a permanent Press Club building and to speed up construction of a press colony for working journalists of the state as promised.

They also demanded for additional sanction of Rs one crore in addition to Rs two crore sanctioned earlier by former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and to increase the amount of corpus fund for scribes to Rs 30 lakh.

Both organisations, in the memorandum, also pleaded the Chief Minister to initiate steps for implementation of the Majithia Wage Board recommendations for working journalists to which the Tuki assured to give a positive look.

Budding writer Banta Natung was felicitated during the function for his novella - Memoir of a Boy, which has already recorded a very high sales figure. Attending the celebration as guest of honour, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, P D Sona while speaking about the responsibility of the media, said, “For a common man a word written by a journalist has a lot of credibility. They believe in whatever the journalists write in the paper. So reporting of events should be free from any bias.”

Terming the role of media in India as crucial and important for development, he further added that, “Instead of providing mere news, press should also provide research facts for the deeper understanding of issues”.

IPR Secretary Dani Sulu while speaking on the occasion said, “Not the power of criticism but the power of placing the facts in the right way that defines the responsible press”.

Earlier, Arunachal Press Club president Chopa Cheda welcoming the guests informed about the exposure tour undertaken by working journalists to Imphal recently. The seven-member team for the exposure tour was held with an objective to gain firsthand knowledge about the threats and intimidation that the press fraternity of Manipur face from violence and conflict. The tour was sponsored by APC and IPR Department.

The team which recently returned from Manipur also gave presentations, highlighting their experiences gained during the exposure tour.

Among others, Parliamentary Secretary Thangwang Wangham and APPSC chairman Ligu Tacho were also present.

 

 

AAP under MGNREGA approved

YUPIA, Nov 16: The governing body meeting of DRDA, Papum Pare held here yesterday approved the Annual Action Plan (AAP) under MGNREGA of five blocks, namely Mengio, Sagalee, Doimukh, Balijan and Kimin for onward submission.

Addressing the meeting, DRDA Project Director Toko Babu advised the Panchayat leaders to give more emphasis on creation of more tangible and visible assets under MGNREGA. He also appealed to the Panchayat leaders to cooperate with BDOs in implementing the centrally sponsored schemes and also asked the BDOs to give equal support to the Panchayat leaders.

He said that the ZPMs being the ex-officio members should supervise all developmental works that are implemented in their respective jurisdiction.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nabam Aka called upon the Panchayat leaders to maintain good relationship with the officers and discuss every perspective of schemes for proper and successful implementation. She suggested the BDOs for proper screening of beneficiaries before selection and recommendation.

“Every Panchayat leaders and all Govt. officials must work together without any differences in the matter of development,” she added.

The meeting attended by BDOs, ZPMs, Anchal Chairpersons also discussed and reviewed the CSS schemes, like IAY, SGSY, MGNREGA implemented under DRDA last year and budget of DRDA for 2013-14. DIPRO

 

 

Rumour triggers panic buying of salt in East Siang

RUKSIN, Nov 16: After Capital Complex, it was East Siang where people purchased salt in bulk @ Rs 30- 100 per kg amid rumours of an acute shortage of the essential food ingredient.

Salt ran out of stocks in the markets of Pasighat, Ruksin, Oyan hours after the panic buying. It was reportedly sold @ Rs 30 to Rs 100 per kg at Ruksin, Oyan, Sille-Teromile markets and some pockets of rural areas.

Meanwhile, the district administration ahas ppealed to people not to panic over rumours of salt crisis as it was a rumour created by some unscrupulous businessmen and traders to earn easy money.

The district administration asked the Food & Civil Supply and Legal Metrology department to keep strict eye on the situation. Traders who will be found indulging in the illegal practice will be booked under appropriate section of the law, it cautioned.

The members of Adi Students Union (AdiSU), who are keeping a strict eye on the development, appealed people not to panic over the situation. AdiSU urged the administration to bring those unscrupulous traders to book, who had sold salt on exorbitant price.

 

 

North East Cinema to hog limelight at IFFI

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: The North East cinema would be in focus during the ensuing 44th International Film Festival of India in Goa to be held from November 20-30.  The festival will feature a package of 19 rare films from the North-East to highlight the region’s ethnic, traditional and cultural diversity through the medium of cinema. The Festival will also feature cultural and aesthetic elements like dance and music shows, exhibition of fabric, handicrafts and cuisine, and panel discussions on emerging film craft in the region.

While Assamese and Manipuri films have seen theatrical releases, cinema from other North-Eastern states has not had a great platform to showcase their cinema. Organized by the IFFI Secretariat under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Goa, the festival will bring the best cinemas from around the world to India; also present a bouquet of contemporary and classic cinema of India through screenings, academic and informal sessions. This year, some of the greatest international filmmakers and artists will represent the cinematic vision of the region.

Manipur’s legendary filmmaker Aribam Syam Sharma’s Manipuri Pony will represent his state in the forthcoming Goa Film Festival. Besides Sharma’s film, the North East will be represented by Manju Borah’s Mishing language film Ko:Yad and documentaries By Lane No. 2 by Utpal Datta and Resonance of Mother’s Melody by Dip Bhuyan.

The North East section opens with Mizo film Khwalung Run by Mapui Chawngthu on November 22 and closes on November 27 with Assamese film Aideu by Arup Manna. The North East Focus is an especially curated section by award-winning critic Utpal Borpujari. This year some of the renowned filmmakers like Aribam Syam Sharma, Jahnu Barua, Seema Biswas, Adil Hussain, Yeshe Dorje Thongchi are scheduled to attend the festival. Speaking at a press conference held at Delhi recently, minister of information and broadcasting Manish Tiwari said,  “IFFI 2013 promises to be the year’s most important dialogue on cinema, through its curated selection of the finest Indian and international cinema and the presence of iconic film personalities. With a special emphasis on the cinema of Japan and the North East, IFFI 2013 will be rich showcase of contemporary international aesthetic sensibilities and India’s rich cinematic heritage.”

The Indian Panorama feature film category will be opened by the Malayalam ‘Kanyaka Talkies’ and will feature the work of directors like Rituparno Ghosh (‘Satyanweshi’), Anand Gandhi (‘Ship Of Theseus’), Rakesh Omprakash Mehra (‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’) and Manju Borah(‘Ko:Yad’).

The non-feature film category will be opened by Hindi film ‘Rangabhoomi’, and will feature the works of Raja Shabhir Khan (‘Shepherds Of Paradise’), Rakesh Shukla (‘The Donkeyfair’), Anoop Sathyan (‘A Dream Called America’) and Prantik Narayan Basu (‘Makara’)

The 2013 selection also includes critically acclaimed mainstream Bollywood cinema such as Hindi film Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Pan Singh Tomar’, (Best Feature Film, 60th National Film Awards) and Girish Malik’s ‘Jal’ (nominated for the New Currents segment at the Busan international film Festival). My duty is to help the poor and working class’

SEPPA, Nov 16: Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB& OCWWB) chairman Jalley Sonam said that his first and foremost duty was to work for the welfare of the workers and poorer sections of the society.

Addressing a public meeting at General Ground here yesterday attended by workers from various departments, Sonam informed them about various welfare schemes of the Board for the registered workers, such as housing loan, tools advance, medical assistance etc. He, advised the workers to get themselves registered with the Board to avail the benefits. He lauded the ruling State government for paying special attention towards poor and working class.

Later, Sonam gave away death benefits of Rs 16,000 each to Meyang Natung, wife of one late Tinking Natung and Meka Riyang, wife of late Tagio Riyang.

EKSWCO chairman Dr. T Taku advised the workers to give proper education to their children. He distributed school bags, geometry boxes and umbrellas provided by the Board for the children the workers.

UGC sponsored Field Tour to Re- explore Bhismak Nagar

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: The Department of History, Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu conducted a UGC sponsored educational field tour to Bhismak Nagar to re-explore its relevance in the context of civilisational linkages and cultural contiguity that the place has shared through the centuries.

The archaeological remains excavated by eminent archaeologists at Bhismak Nagar during late sixties give ample testimony to such cultural connectivity.

The Principal of the College, Dr. BK Nath while addressing the gathering called upon the students to re-invent the historical significance of the site in the context of competing cultural paradigm.

SC Pradhan, Vice- Principal i/c outlined the process of cultural assimilation in the region and exhorted for further excavation to decipher the historical reality.

Dr. PK Nayak, Associate Professor of History explained the mythological dimension of the place and related the ethno-cultural space of the region with that of the Indian ancient cultural milieu.

R. Dele, Coordinator of the UGC Cell spelt out cultural aspect and urged the students to differentiate between myth and reality in constructing any kind of connectivity to historical recourse.

 

 

Workshop on scientific cultivation of tea held

ITANAGAR, Nov 16: The regional office of Tea Board here organized two workshops on scientific cultivation of tea for small tea growers at Sille and Seren, East Siang on November 14 and 15.

Addressing the tea growers, S Rajbongshi, ADTD, Tea Board said that 32 percent of the country’s total tea production is contributed by unorganized sector and Tea Board is taking steps to disseminate scientific knowledge to this sector.  He motivated growers to form self-help groups (SHGs) to not only avail the Board’s benefits but also for their own survival and sustenance.  

Biswajit Bordoli, Junior Advisory Officer of TRA trained the tea growers on selection of land, soil testing, land preparation, planting, bringing up of young tea etc.

Booklets as well as wall hangouts on tea cultivation prepared by Tea Board were also distributed freely to participants.

Prominent persons of the locality area including Nyodek Yonggam, Ex-MP, Tonggeng Panyang, ZPM, Ojing Mengo, District President of Small Tea Growers’ Association also attended the workshop and requested the Board to organize such programmes at regular interval.

Yonggam, a retired tea planter, who served Doom Dooma Tea Co. Ltd, Assam during 1971 – 1975, urged the Tea Board to conduct such trainings at four stages at different seasons for the benefit of new tea growers.

Ojing shared his experience of recent study tour to North Bengal where three SHGs have successfully established their own factories.

Over 180 small tea growers from both East Siang and West Siang attended the workshops.
